this last weekend

This weekend I had my last training session at Region 4. I was really happy to be done with it although it was a great professional development. My parents came to town to watch Addison. It was a great help. Thank you! Here are some pictures of Addie sorting the mail, playing in a box, and the video is of Addison talking to Aunt Lindsey on the phone. Enjoy!

January 2010

This month has already started and proved to be a quick one. Addie is completely on whole milk now but not quite off the bottle. We have some bottles that are transitional with different lids but we only drink whole milk. We have been pretty healthy for the last month or so. A little runny nose and cough but still healthy. We are truly thankful and you have no idea. Jared started in sales on the first and is holding his own. I try to be that encourager and God is truly faithful. He is doing a great job and really enjoying it. We spend much of our time in prayer for his job and again God is faithful! He is loving the work and pace of things. He misses the time at home but we are appreciating the time we have together. Jared is doing and excelling above and beyond his quota and for his goal this month. We are truly blessed and give all the glory to Him!

This month Mamaw and Pawpaw came to town to watch Addie while I went to Instructional Leadership Development at Region 4 and Jared worked. This was an incredible load off our backs and we are thankful. Thank you Mom and Dad. Addison was well taken care of and since then has been eating more. Thanks again.
This Saturday I went to Friendswood for the evening and came back on Saturday. I have an eye infection and look like a fictious vampire. My right eye is bloodshot. Addison and I went to Walmart yesterday to try to purchase my eye glasses and it is going to take at least five days. I am currently wearing my out of date 6 or 7 year old ones. But I am thankful because without them I am blind. I had a horrible headache yesterday when I tried just wearing one contact. Chris Rhea, a good friend of ours, is in his last semester of optometry school told us that I probably just need some oxygen to my cornea and to apply my antibiotic four times a day. I am already seeing improvement. No pun intented. But feeling much better. I still may be in these bottle caps until the end of next week but I am grateful for Chris Rhea and the help he has given us. I just need to take my contact lenses out more frequently.

Above are some pictures of the adventures Addison had with her grandpa on Saturday morning. She loves his D-O-G.

Thanks for reading in and more updates soon to come.

Army Chili

Army chili:
onions, mushrooms, two pounds of ground beef, two cans of kidney beans, two cans of chili beans, a large can of stewed tomatoes, and a small can of tomato sauce.

Addison actually put down the crackers for ten minutes of army chili. Victory for mom! Here are some pictures of Addison eating the chili and then when she got into the cookie bag while mom was folding laundry. She was in trouble. Look at her little trouble face.

Saturday Morning with Daddy

Saturday morning my kids played with some of their new toys. I had Jared a pitching washers set made and he was aching to practice. He thinks he will beat me....He pulled the set out with Addie and playing while mom had a bathroom break. Addison is perfectly content watching as long as she is holding a couple of the washers and she is outside. She loves being outside. Our rule is daddy cannot throw if she is parallel to the board within four feet of the board. She does a good job of staying back though. We also got her t ball set out that Daddy bought her for Christmas. She is not really into it yet but enjoyed the time outside. We will see what sports and or activities hold for this little girl.

New year and new projects

Here is the garage door of ours that is broken until our appointment on Monday at 8:30am on Monday. This happened the other day and I am just happy we are having it fixed as quickly as we are. We thought it would be taken care of the next day but the home warranty was not really cooperative. Also attached are pictures of the new light fixtures that Jared and Patrick installed. Mostly Jared. It was less than cooperative for the two boys. The light was recessed in the wall for both lights. Yeah 1985. More pictures soon to come of Sheree and I's painting. I should be done in the next day or two. I will post pictures of our progress. Addison and I are sure enjoying ourselves together. Here are a few pictures of our afternoon together.
