We love Juli

Here are our pictures from last Sunday mornings outing. Juli, a friend of ours, took our pictures. She took Addison's first year and our Christmas pictures. We love her work and are so blessed to have her in our lives. These were meant to be bluebonnet pictures but God had other plans. Our bluebonnet pictures were postponed because our car was stolen almost three weeks ago. But again, we are truly blessed and fortunate to have recovered and to have a good and faithful God that has a reason for everything. These pictures make me smile and I hope they bring you joy as well. These were taken at Stephen F. Austin State park in Sealy, Texas.

Cold Hot Dogs on a Sunday Afternoon

Right after Addison's nap today she wanted to eat a hot dog. I was about to warm it up and she was saying please frantically. So I took a gamble and just handed it to her. She ate the whole thing! Her hind teeth are coming in and it must have felt good. She and I sat in the shade and had great conversation while eating two cold hot dogs. It's really cute, since we call them hot dogs she barks when she sees them or when talking about hot dogs.
Attached are pictures of the shepard's pie I made for the first time. Addison loved it. We will see what Jared thinks when he gets home.

Ashley and Zac's wedding

Ashley and Zac's wedding was last in Downtown Houston. So much fun. It was great to see our old friends. Attached are pictures of Zac and his cute smile as he walks his new bride down the aisle, Jared wearing Zac's new watch, and the sam cheer friends doing the fight song for SHSU.

Gathering of the Fools

The Gathering of the Fools is an annual get together at a neighbor down the street from my parents. The Baker's have a pretty cool set up. They have a paved patio like Mamaw and Papaw King and then they created an outhouse for the ladies and an open air restroom for the men next to the shop. These guys were formally known as the Honda Valkary riders. I think now think now they are some kind of cruiser club. Jared was real sad he missed it and plans to attend next year. They had some pretty bikes and were just nice people. The Baker's have several acres and they mow it so that bikers can camp if they like to.
Much farther below are pictures of Addison the lizard huntress. She likes to look for lizards but is not quite up to touching them. I will attach a video later of her looking a lizard purched on the hose reel at my parents house. She is getting less picky with food. She's eating almost anything now, especially beans. She ate a whole bowl full of ranch style beans last night with corn bread. What a mess. Later this morning Jared took us to brunch at a mexican restaurant in Katy called La Vida Loca. It is a pretty open air restaurant with a patio. We enjoyed it just to ourselves and Addison got to walk around when we were done.
