Cooking with Addison

Cooking with Addison is so much fun. Here Addison and I are making banana pudding for Daddy and Grandad. Addison helped clean the spoons and eat the left over banana. She even helped eat the partially broken vanilla wafers. She was really great at licking the cool whip container. Here are some pictures of our evening of cooking. Mom was also able to make some chicken spaghetti in the mean time. Attached are pictures of our afternoon or evening of cooking and then a video of Addison eating a cupcake for Mom's birthday. Can you pick out the picture of Addison's face when it was time to clean up and put the spoons away? We sure enjoyed Addison over spring break. It will be hard for the both of us to go back to work.

Spring Break 2010 part dos

Trying to get two children to smile at the same time. You better have the camera when the time is right. Here are the best from Erica and I 's shoot. Below is Addison and Baby Brenna.

Spring Break Part I
We went to visit my parents, Grandma and Grandpa Reynolds,
because Addison's Aunt Lindsey was in town from Dallas and we had the pleasure of meeting her boyfriend Randall for the first time. What a nice guy! Here are some pictures of Addison and Grandpa playing with his work stool and just running outside. Addison loves being outside and we hope to spend a lot of this spring break enjoying the weather. More adventures soon to come!

Rodeo and Life Lately

The Rodeo was fun. Here you see a picture of a cowboy on stilts. Addison liked to watch him but when he approached her she didn't want to have anything to do with him. Also, you will see pictures of the animal owners and their livestock. We got the most out of this experience because the petting zoo was so crazy. Many of the owners let her pet their animals. She sure liked this. The hardest part about the livestock show was keeping her in the stroller. She wanted to walk around and pet the animals. She is a natural born animal lover. We stood in line for a while to ride a pony but when it was our turn she said no. Maybe next year. The nice man gave us a refund and we went out side to try some rodeo food. Jared enjoyed a deep fried white castle burger and some deep fried oreos. I tried a deep fried smore. It was great. We both felt ill and sluggish in the evening. I don't know what that was about.
Later on in the weekend Jared started to have fever and then lesions. We thought he had an allergic reaction to some food but everything he ate I also ate. Jared saw two fake doctors and then one real doctor. Sorry not nice. The first two gave him some medicine and sent him back to work. The fever continued, the rash got worse and then he saw the real doctor. Jared had hand, foot and mouth disease. This is usually common of children ten and under and is actually rare in adults. He was sent home from work for five days and given an antibiotic and some codine for the discomfort in his mouth. He also had sores in his throat that didn't enable him to eat anything but liquid. He was sent home and told to rest and to not come in contact with anyone. Our guest bedroom is still occupied, so I still slept in the same bed but with different sheets. Addison didn't understand how great it was to see daddy home and not be able to play or touch him. Jared is feeling not like his old self yet but no fever, the sores have healed and are going away. Poor guy looks like he has lost weight. But he is looking better and we are thankful. Thank you Lord.
So this week is spring break and I have a lengthy paper to finish and a three page paper to work on as well. Thanks for all the support and as of March 28th I should be done. Sorry for the neglection on my part. We have a lot on our plates and I hope my family and friends can forgive us and be my friend again when this whole thing is over. May 15th!

Ear Infection and a little of everything

Attached are some pictures of when Addison, Jared and I made brownies. The batter tasted better than the batch came out. The batch came out more cakie than like a brownie.

This last weekend Addison had what we know now as an ear infection. I was thinking upper respiratory because she had fever for really the first time. She was running a 101 temperature for almost three days. We called the doctor and the reason Tylenol wasn't working was because of her weight. We are able to give her more because of her weight and once we did that we were able to manage it better. Also attached are videos of Addison outside for a short break while she was sick. Keep in mind these videos are taken while she has fever. Poor kid really likes it outside. Here are a couple of our breaks out on the back porch. She loves to walk in and out.

Addison is fifteen months now. She weighs 22 pounds and is still in the 40th percentile for weight. Jared took her to the doctor this morning so I would only have to take a half day. It works out well with Jared in sales. He was working a half day today and I was able to work half the morning.

Jared is doing well in sales. He is getting great comments from his supervisors and is really enjoying it.....and with integrity.

School is getting intense with TAKS season around the corner. As well, I'm in my last class with school and having to write many papers. I am trying to get as much work done at work as possible. I walk in Beaumont on May 15th. Yeah!

Words

Addison is working on talking and signing. Now we sign thank you, more, please and milk. We are also working on the words. The only words we hear are please and thank you. They really don't sound like please and thank you but the syllables are the same. Addie is still just as sweet as she can be. She is sleeping through the night and only taking one nap a day now. Well a long morning nap and a cat nap for like thirty minutes in the afternoon. Attached are some pictures of her playing underneath the dinner table. She had just eaten so her shirt was not put on yet. She loves casseroles and mac and cheese. The other pictures were taken this morning with her favorite shoes. She loves to wear her boots. And I love she doesn't know how to take them off. Addison is growing fast and we are trying to enjoy every minute of it. Grad school is coming to an end soon. I can see it and I can't wait. I finish with this class February 22nd and the last class ends in March. Graduation is right around the corner. Cheerleading ends for me the week of March 8th. I am so ready and trying to stay motivated to finish strong. Please pray that I keep my focus and look at the end in sight. I love this sweet family of mine and want to spend every minute with them.
