A visit with the grandparents and our chic fil a party

We had a really short visit with my parents on Sunday afternoon on their way back from San Antonio.  We met at double daves and played with Addie until her nap.  Jared and Jacob picked up my "momma chair" and brought it here from Star.  I will take pictures of it and post it soon.  I am sitting in it as we speak.  I love it.  I read and surf the web in it all the time.  Remember when you visit please that this is the "momma chair".  She has a name and we will be referring to it as such.  Anyone is welcome to sit there as long as you call her by her proper name.  I go back to school on Wednesday.  I am not looking forward to it.  Chic fil A are some dear friends of ours and they through Addie and I a back to school outing.  Free breakfast for six of our friends.  It was really nice.  Free was nice too.  We all had breakfast before going to work.  It was early for Jared but he didn't mind getting free chicken minis.  The people there are too sweet and just love Addie.  Tomorrow Jared is taking Addie and I for a tour of the ballpark as our last day off together.  More pictures soon to come.  Love yall!

Toilet

She found the toilet the other day and now it seems that is the place she wants to go.  I wish she was using it but no.  Found her again today, I tried to catch the look on her face when I screamed no. She wants to play in the water and put her hands in it.   She must get this from Jared because I certainly didn't teach her this.

Swimming at the Beek's

Addie and I went swimming today at the Beek's.  She is enjoying swimming especially with other children.  She does really well when she interacts with others.  I think she gets frustrated at times with just looking at me.  Here is a video of Addie playing with a wiffle ball.  She has become more adventurous lately.  She found the toilet and the toilet paper the other day.  Thank goodness she hasn't discovered how to open cabinets yet.  So now we keep the doors closed in our rooms.  We like to watch Blues Clues and Baby Einstein.  Baby Einstein is her favorite.  Addie loves the teething biscuits now.  She makes a terrible mess eating them but it must feel great on her gums because she is so happy.  She is learning to entertain herself more too.  Sometimes I catch her talking to herself and looking at something in her hand.  She sure is sweet.

Lazy Weekend

This last week I had cheer camp and my life was just moving along rather quickly.  It has been nice to settle down this weekend.  We had a nice visit with my parents and then another great Sunday morning with Second Baptist and a fun visit with our friends Ashley and Zack.  We love them.  We took Addie swimming and then got Chinese in for the night.  Last night we had Sheree, Bart, and the Wagners over.  They are so much fun!  We are so blessed to have such a great support system here in Katy.  Here is a picture of my cheerleaders on the last day of camp and a few pictures of Addie.  Her arm is almost completely healed but she sure is teething.  Sometimes she can be just a bear or grumpy as we call it.  But still sleeping through the night and waking like at 7:45 in the morning.  Thank goodness for that!

Adventures in Ohio

Addie and I just got back from Ohio.  We sure had a pleasant time.  We got to visit with lots of relatives we had never met before.  They are such fun people!  Addie and I saw some Amish farmers and took a picture of them while on the road.  Such a interesting group of people.  We visited at Grandma Maxine's house and took pictures of Addie in front of the corn and bean field.  Addie was such a sweetheart with all the new people and friends that we made.  Addie and I slept in an RV every night.  She slept through the night every night.  Oh by the way her arm is doing much better and we will have pictures of it up soon.  We flew back this morning about 6 am.  The flight was great and we had an empty seat to ourselves.  She slept through most of the flight and the people around us were nothing but complimentary of her behavior.  Ohio was fun but we are glad to be home with our Daddy and hubby.
